Right Now

She's at the age where the is no need to be quiet, still, or contained. This is a brand- new world in the eyes of a one year old. I'm constantly fascinated about what grabs her attention, deserves her time, or questions her manipulation.  I love the times when I'm around with camera in hand to capture the beauty that I have been given everyday. These are a few of my most favorite pics. *Pretty skirt made by mama*

Lately....

A glimpse of some of the things I've been making around here lately....

Tinkle Toppers! quite possibly the cutest baby gadget ever - makes me want to have a boy! You place them over the baby's wee wee during diaper change, so you don't get peed on! Genius!

and

Pretty, girly baby bibs..... all can be found in my etsy shop.

Back in Business

So, I finally got a new computer!!!! Excitement. My old one bit the dust after a very short life span. Lots has happened in the past three months.....the squib is now one year old, the neighbors became unruly and downright scary....thus causing a temporary ban on all outdoor kitty activites. I've also became better friends with old sally singer - my sewing machine. I have a hunch this has something to do with my lack of internet -- I finally got off my ass and did something! Stay tuned, there's more :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Me and my Dad in the summer of 1979

Dad would have been 55 years old today. He passed away last May - on Mother's Day - 2 days before I gave birth to Eliza.

Happy Birthday Dad, you are missed tremendously

The Dining Room, plain and boring

Stairway and Piano

This would be the boys room. I have wallpapered 2 of the walls so far.

This is the bathroom . It needs curtains and a new floor

This is a super cute little cat scratching post I made involving a thread spool, felt, wire, and a tiny pom pom for the whack-at-it ball. Sadly, I don't even have a cat to go in the dollhouse - must get one!

A cluttered mess. Looks like somebody just moved in.

I'm shameful. I've had this dollhouse for quite some time now. It should be more close to completion - if there even is such a thing in dollhouse land. I have high hopes for it, and I've done a few things here and there. I have silently made it one of my priorities for this year - invest more love, time, and money in the still unnamed little house. Oh, and yet another shameful thing.....I have another San Fransico dollhouse that is still in the box at my parents' house. I've had that one about 10 years and have never once began construction. It's saddening.

I spent FOREVER trying to get all of my designated pics in that last post, and that was a nothing but a stress inducer. I couldn't manage to move the pics where I wanted them. So new post for the continuation of pooh pics.

Eliza Hearts Pooh

My sweet, sweet squib got a Pooh Bear for Christmas. She picked him right off the Disney Store shelf pretty much by herself. She has not let that little guy out of her sight since his arrival. I'm amazed that she has developed such a strong bond to cuteness and fluff at age 8 months. Now, I do recall being extremely attached to my special teddy bear, simply named teddy. But, I don't think that started until I was around two or so. He wasn't even cute or fancy or anything like that. He was brown, and that's all. Yes, I do still have him. I would probably still sleep with him if the hubbs wasn't around. But now his days are spent atop the bookshelf in the squib's room. So, I documented Pooh's activities in some rather touching photos. I'm sure you will see more of these yet to come. I couldn't even get it away from her long enough to put him in the laundry. I plan on getting another one to have on hand - in case of emergency. The current one is only a month old and has narrowly escaped several throws across the grocery store - and one near life ending tragedy involving the shampoo aisle in Target.
